St Paul's Youth Forum - EEE Ltd

We were delighted to welcome aboard more young people and youth workers  from St Paul's Youth Forum in the north-east of Glasgow for a weekend cruise  in the Clyde. The team started at Greenock and finished in Glasgow, visiting  Millport and the Isle of Bute along the way. Fantastic weather and a fantastic  crew! Hope to see you aboard EEE again soon...

On 1 May 2016, East End Endeavour relocated to James Watt Dock Marina in Greenock - within easy reach of Glasgow by road or rail and an ideal sailing location for day tasters, weekend sails or longer courses and cruises. Why not plan a visit and join us aboard EEE?

We will be holding the EEE Ltd annual general meeting in St Paul's Church, 30 Langdale St, Glasgow G33 1DR on Tuesday 19 January, 7:00 - 8:30 pm. (Please note our original date of 19 Jan has been postponed). EEE supporters are very welcome to come along!

With best wishes for health and happiness in 2016. Hope to see you aboard EEE...!

We loved having this great group of young people from the West of Scotland Regional Equality Council on board EEE during August. Crew members sailed to destinations in the Firth of Clyde, including Greenock, Rhu and Tarbert Loch Fyne, and were awarded RYA Competent Crew certificates at the end of their 5-day stints.

Govanhill Youth Project

We were delighted to welcome young people from Govanhill Youth Project on board EEE for an RYA Start Yachting course and follow-up weekend this month. The weather was being true to Fair Fortnight's usual wet and windy form, but the group made a fantastic crew, learning to sail as they explored the Kyles of Bute, Loch Fyne and the Gareloch. A big well done to all involved!

In November 2014, East End Endeavour moved to a fantastic new berth in Rothesay Harbour on the Isle of Bute. Rothesay is an ideal location for year-round sailing, in the heart of town with the sheltered waters of the Kyles of Bute just round the corner - and plenty more beautiful destinations to visit in the Firth of Clyde and beyond!

Six young people from across Glasgow learned to crew and sail yacht East End Endeavour from Greenock to Glasgow as part of the spectacular Commonwealth Flotilla. Thanks to The Big Lottery Fund Celebrate Award for enabling Govanhill Youth Project, Urban Fox Programme and St Paul's Youth Forum/Bolt FM to participate in an unforgettable experience!

Happy New Year! A wee update:

Yacht EEE is once again working as an RYA sail training vessel via Scottish Sailing Schools and providing opportunities for milebuilding for people who want more experience. Sam (owner) is working as freelance skipper/RYA Cruising Instructor on EEE and various sail training vessels.

This commercial work will enable the yacht (and Sam) to operate while we expore more ways of enabling disadvantages communities to sail. Grant funding is available from various sources for this purpose for groups.

Please contact if you want to discuss all of the above.

2012 season update

EEE's 30th anniversary year took in two memorable Western Isles cruises (sadly, she didn't sail quite as far west as St Kilda, although Barra and South Uist were well worth a visit) and yet more young people were introduced to sailing.  Govanhill Youth Project and St Philip's School were among those to take up a Community Sail Challenge and both hope to come back for more!

PAST EVENT 2 places available for St Kilda cruise

At the end of April, EEE is setting sail from the Firth of Clyde to the remote Scottish archipelago of St Kilda. Now owned and managed by National Trust for Scotland (NTS), St Kilda is a renowned world heritage site and national nature reserve. 2 places are available on this once in a lifetime 14-day cruise. Contact us now for details!

Voyage of Dreams (July-Aug 2011)

On 17th July, East End Endeavour will set sail with six intrepid young people, accompanied by skipper Sam Paterson, on a three-week sea voyage of discovery around the west coast of Scotland!  The crew will visit island communities, share their experiences - nautical and cultural - and record their adventures on film.  Voyage of Dreams has been developed in partnership with Fablevision and funded by Scottish Wave of Change as part of the Cultural Olympiad.

Communities 2014 day taster trips (spring/summer 2011)

Earlier in 2011, East End Endeavour Ltd was awarded a £2000 Communities 2014 grant by the Big Lottery Fund to offer four day taster sailing trips to 24 young people.  Among those to benefit from the award were Girvan Youth Trust and St Paul's Youth Forum in North Glasgow. These trips were enjoyed by all - so much so that Girvan Youth Trust have booked 5 young people on an RYA Competent Crew course with Geronimo Sailing School on board East End Endeavour later in the year!
